Josiane Martinez
(she/her)
Josiane Martinez, Founder and CEO of Archipelago Strategies Group, holds over 20 years of experience working in public policy, cross-cultural communications, public affairs, and public administration. Since founding ASG ten years ago, she has been the driving force behind campaigns that have generated record results for clients in the public and private sectors. In that time, she has also increased her staff to over 120 employees and 60 clients. Prior to founding ASG, she served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants in Governor Deval Patrick’s Administration. She holds a BA in Public Communications from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Simmons University. In 2023, she was personally tapped by Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll to Co-Chair the Latino Empowerment Council to strategically advise the Governor on strategies to improve the well-being of the Latino communities in Massachusetts.

Alejandra St. Guillen
Alejandra serves as Chief of Staff for Archipelago Strategies Group (“ASG”), a full-service marketing and communications agency based in Boston which was founded in 2013 with a vision of “marketing with purpose”. At ASG, she oversees Business Development, Client Relations, and project implementation. She also provides strategic direction to a diverse client portfolio on public relations, policy, and community engagement. Prior to joining ASG, Alejandra served as the Director for Immigrant Advancement for the City of Boston where she lead and transformed a municipal office committed to strengthening the ability of immigrants and Boston’s diverse cultural and linguistic communities to fully participate in the economic, civic, social, and cultural life of the city. Ahead of her appointment to the City of Boston, Alejandra served as Executive Director of ¿Oíste?, a statewide Civic Engagement and Political organization for Latinos, where she ran the day-to-day operations, drove fundraising efforts, set Public Policy agenda and served as the public spokesperson for the organization. Alejandra began her career as a middle teach in the New York City and Boston Public Schools systems. She holds a BA in Economics and Black Studies from Wesleyan University and Master of Education from the City College of New York. She lives in West Roxbury with her wife and son and two rescue dogs.

Gaby Quintero

Gaby is Senior Vice President of Operations at ASG. She is an executive decision-maker and plays a key role in handling internal and external affairs. She is the backbone of business strategies and helps drive overall company performance. Prior to ASG, she was Editor of The Internal News Desk at Red Más Noticias and Senior Producer for Bienmesabe Magazine. Outside of work, Gaby loves planning and hosting dinner parties and stays active by going on scenic hikes with her family and two dogs. Gaby holds a BA in Communication Studies with a concentration in Journalism from Universidad Católica Andrés Bellos in Venezuela and a MA in International Relations from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Columbia.

Brandon Bowser

Brandon is Senior Field Lead at ASG. He supervises tasks of employees, provides training programs to workers, and ensures overall efficiency in the field. Prior to ASG, Brandon was an Educator in the Boston Public Schools and served as a Community Organizer for over seventeen years, focusing on housing, anti-racism and education. Outside of work, he enjoys long bike rides with friends and travelling the world. Brandon holds a BS in Education from Central Michigan University.

Andreina is Event Manager at ASG. She is responsible for planning and managing company events and recommending marketing strategies. Prior to ASG, she worked as an Event Manager, Model, Actress and Theater Producer. Outside of work, Andreina stays active by going for long nature walks, scenic hikes, and doing Pilates. Syeeda is a Community Engagement Coordinator at ASG. Syeeda cultivates meaningful relationships and collaboration with diverse communities to which she serves as an advocate, providing support and resources. Outside of work, when she isn’t whipping up delectable recipes in her kitchen, she’s exploring Boston’s boundless array of unique eateries. Syeeda is currently a student at Suffolk University working to achieve her BAS in Political Science and has prior experience as Suffolk Votes Scholar, encouraging and educating students to vote.

Zaida is a Field Coordinator at ASG. She is responsible for ensuring the appropriate allocation of staff and other resources on projects in order to achieve client satisfaction. Outside of work, Zaida enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and taking her dog on long walks. She is a devoted member to her community of Springfield, as a coach for girls’ baseball and basketball. Zaida holds an AA in Social Work from Puerto Rican College Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.

Samantha is an Associate Director of Marketing and Content Strategy at ASG. She is responsible for overseeing the content marketing strategy behind ASG’s omnichannel campaigns, ensuring cohesive, resonant marketing for every client. Samantha’s experience in content creation, media buying, and project management allow her to bring a balanced perspective of micro and macro to deliver real social impact. Outside of ASG, she incorporates her unique perspectives in her work as a photographer, leveraging her international and domestic travel experiences for opportunities to capture and share her stories. Samantha holds a BA in Psychology from the University of South Carolina.

Johnny is Communications Manager at ASG. He is responsible for overseeing the internal and external communications and crafting the overall company message in a consistent and engaging way. Prior to ASG, he worked as Media Relations Coordinator at Tufts University. Outside of work, Johnny loves to snuggle up with his cat, Miles, and watch HBO series in his cozy Brooklyn home. Stephanie Morales
Stephanie joined ASG in May 2023 as a Communications Manager. Stephanie brings a blend of experience in journalism and the nonprofit sector. She has worked as a journalist for multiple publications, including The Associated Press and The Washington Post. Most recently, she was the Manager of Marketing and Communications at YW Boston.
Above all, Stephanie loves words, storytelling, and connecting with others. Stephanie is a proud first-generation college graduate and graduated from the University of New Hampshire.

Bianca Suchite
Coming from both a professional and family background in activism and media, Bianca is excited to bring her passions and skill set to ASG and continue contributing to important work. As a communications specialist, she hopes to learn and grow as she works alongside the impressive communications team at ASG. As a young woman of color, it is especially comforting for her to be joining such a diverse team.
Outside of ASG, Bianca works as a server at a Spanish tapas bar, Palo, in Providence, RI. She loves cooking and learning about different cultures through food and constantly finds inspiration in various forms of nourishment. Bianca leads an active lifestyle and is always looking for new ways to stay active.

Mark is Data Strategist at ASG. He helps manage the process of sourcing alterative datasets by ensuring the most promising strategies to fit with business requirements. Prior to ASG, he worked as a Political and Advocacy Campaign Professional. Outside of work, Mark loves the game of soccer whether its playing with family, watching games with friends or attending professional matches. His passions for travel and archeology made his trip to Turkey, visiting his hometown of Cesme and exploring archaeological sites, a highlight of his year. Mark holds a BA in Government from Skidmore College in New York and an MD in International Studies from Aarhus University in Denmark.

Jasmine is Associate Director of Project Management at ASG and in her previous position she was Senior Project Manager. Prior to ASG, Jasmine served as Fundraising & Operations Coordinator for (MassNOW) and Director of Development & Communications for RESPOND, Inc. She provides tactical leadership and oversees any project related activities. Based in Providence, Rhode Island, Jasmine enjoys spending time off with her son exploring theme parks, attending sporting events and listening to music. Jasmine holds a BS. in Legal Studies from Roger Williams University and an MPH in Health Law, Bioethics and Human Rights from Boston University.

Angelo is a Senior Project Manager at ASG. He develops action plans for projects and oversees all contributors involved, working across all departments to guarantee timeliness and success. Prior to ASG, Angelo was a Project Manager for the Latin America Region at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Outside of work, Angelo enjoys exploring Austin’s array of fascinating restaurants and is a collector of hobbies which include photography, reading, biking, and hiking. Angelo holds a BA in Sociology with a minor in Gender Studies from UMass Boston.

Aoife Dempsey
Having recently moved to the U.S. from Ireland, Aoife is very excited to join ASG as a new Senior Account Manager. She thinks what ASG offers is unique and is delighted to be part of such a diverse and interesting team. Previously, Aoife worked in project management in the public sector in Ireland, as well as spending many years teaching and researching in universities in both Ireland and the U.K. This is her first American job, and she could not be more excited to get started.
Aoife loves reading, writing, and research, and in 2023, she had her first book published—hopefully, it won’t be her last! In her free time, she likes to stay active and enjoys hiking, biking, and going to the gym. Since moving to Cape Cod, she has taken up golf, though she admits she is still learning. She also loves fine dining and wine and is currently learning about American wines, always seeking suggestions.
A fun fact about Aoife is that she got married in The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. She and her husband eloped in 2022, and it was a really fun experience, though they did not opt for an Elvis impersonator.
At ASG, Aoife is committed to helping the business grow through innovative marketing and creative thinking. She finds it exciting to join ASG at this stage, where it is both established and still developing, and she hopes her approach to project management will help strengthen the company’s ability to do what it does best.

Ana is an Operations Coordinator at ASG. She ensures smooth operation of the company by tracking logistics, monitoring projects and ensuring timely and consistent execution of campaigns and events. Prior to ASG, she worked as Welcome Desk Coordinator for Emerson College where she was President of the student organization, Raíz Latinoamericana. Outside of work, Ana enjoys exploring Massachusetts, going to the movie theater, trying new restaurants and spending quality time with friends and family. Ana holds a BS in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Sciences and Public Relations from Emerson College in Boston.

Fred is Creative Director at ASG who is responsible for leading creative projects and supervising other copywriters and artists to create work for websites, advertisements or campaigns. Prior to ASG, they worked as Creative Director for several agencies in the BtoB Technology Sector launching brands in the Biotech and Process Control Sectors. Outside of work, Fred is an award-winning fine art photographer with many works in local museums and private collections. Of their many eclectic hobbies include building traditional New England stone walls that hold a meaningful history and add to the rustic charm of New England. Jingyi Xie is the Proposal Coordinator at ASG. She organizes bid data, and creates the scope of work and other proposal documents based on client- and market-research. Prior to joining ASG, Jingyi was an Account Manager at Pencil One, where she drafted proposals for different clients’ photography and audiovisual projects. Yuly Bautista
Yuly is very happy to join the team as a Contact Center Operator. She wishes to bring value to the company as well as learn from her colleagues.
In her previous experience, Yuly was the general manager for Burger King for six years and worked at Empower handling 401K accounts from September until coming to ASG. She was named General Manager of the Year for Burger King in the state of Massachusetts in 2019.

Maegan is a Contact Center Operator at ASG. She brings extensive experience in data entry and customer service. She considers herself a hard worker and enjoys accomplishing goals. Maegan goes to the gym four days a week to maintain a good balance in life and likes to stay productive and positive. She enjoys challenging herself to see her full capabilities.

Liz Lister
Liz is a Community Engagement Strategist at ASG.
She is excited to join a team dedicated to supporting their local community and can’t wait to jump in to help them reach their goals. Liz has worked as a music therapist and internship supervisor, caring for hospice patients in the Greater Boston area in hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes. She was also a volunteer coordinator and is proud to have built an entire volunteer program from the ground up.
When she’s not at home baking pretzels and cakes, you can find Liz dancing salsa and bachata around Boston and Acton, singing and playing the guitar, and doing cartwheels outside when the weather is nice.

Chris Carballo
Chris Carballo is a Senior Project Manager at ASG and a seasoned marketing professional celebrated for his compassionate leadership and skillful collaboration. Chris has consistently excelled in pivotal roles, demonstrating an aptitude for active listening, problem-solving, and partnership. These qualities have resulted in streamlined processes, impactful go-to-market messaging, and innovative solutions, all with the ultimate goal of connecting and engaging with audiences and the community. The diverse range of brands Chris has worked with includes notable names like Tufts Health Plan, Bunker Hill Community College, C21 Real Estate, Volkswagen, and Ford Motor. During his tenure at Ford, Chris’ direction, teamwork, and ability to align global strategy with the local social environment led to three shortlistings in the Cannes Lions Festival. Chris’ accomplishments also include his previous role at Everbridge, where he established and led the Content Strategy Team, benefiting global campaigns up and down the marketing funnel.
Beyond his professional achievements in local and international markets, Chris is a forward-thinking individual who stays current with the latest trends in tech, marketing, and social media. His commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident not only through his work but also in his service as chairperson of LGBTQ+ employee resource groups, and on every project he interacts with and manages at ASG.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Chris has long been a grateful resident of Massachusetts and proud New Englander. In his free time, he enjoys the great outdoors, photography, world travel, cultural exploration, and visits to Provincetown in all seasons.

Alyssa McBryar
Alyssa McBryar is a Senior Client Account Manager and an award-winning marketing leader with 9 years of experience growing leading brands and nonprofits while championing DEI. She has excelled at leadership roles, demonstrating an aptitude for storytelling, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving. These qualities have resulted in spearheading streamlined processes, impactful messaging, and innovative solutions – all with the goal of connecting and engaging with diverse audiences. Alyssa holds a BS in Marketing from Suffolk University and has worked with a range of diverse brands and nonprofits including Harvard Business School, PUMA, Hasbro, Eastern Bank, The Black Executive CMO Alliance, Lamaze International, The Children’s Trust of Massachusetts and has contributed to securing contracts with brands like LinkedIn, Zillow, Edward Jones, Chiquita, Aquaphor, and Beyond Meat. Benvinda Oliveira
Benvinda is a Client Services Operations Coordinator at ASG. Joining ASG is incredibly exciting for her because the company focuses on providing marketing services to other organizations and making an impact in the process. This aligns perfectly with her values, as she has always sought to make a difference throughout her career, believing that working for a purpose is far more rewarding than working without one.
In her spare time, Benvinda enjoys reading, training in the gym, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves traveling and has visited Brazil, Israel, Cape Verde, and Portugal. A fun fact about her is that outside of her professional career, she is a professional model signed to an agency, doing commercial print jobs and acting for different brands.
Benvinda has completed a one-year program in finance, equivalent to an associate degree, and has earned an associate degree in Business at SNHU. She is currently working to complete her bachelor’s degree, with plans to graduate by the summer of 2025. In the meantime, she looks forward to bringing the skills and experience she has gained over the years to her new role and is committed to continuing her education through training and programs that will add value to the team and the company as a whole.

Christina Killizli-Salameh
Christina is a graduate of Suffolk University in Boston, MA, Class of 2014 with an Executive Master of Business Administration. She is joining us as the Chief People Officer. Christina made the move to join ASG to help support and lead People Services and continue to support the growth of ASG’s strategic and innovative future. Growing up in Boston, many of the clients, programs, and initiatives we provide services to at ASG are some of the same she has supported and advocated for like affordable, quality health care, employment, and education since her parents arrived as immigrants.
She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management Member (SHRM) and sits on the MBA board of Suffolk University. She is also a licensed real estate Broker in Massachusetts and Connecticut, a certified Notary Public, and a Cultural Awareness Trainer.
Christina has worked in various roles in administration, compliance, facility, human resources, IT/IS, operations and risk mitigation. She recently held the position of Chief People and Culture Officer with The Overlook, part of Masonic Health Systems and prior to that she was the Chief Administrative Officer with Charles River Community Health. Christina has 25+ years in profit and non-profit organizations, largely focusing on administration, operations, human resources, financials, and information systems. She is passionate about arriving at data-driven solutions and enjoys problem solving and finding resolutions to perceived barriers, in order to build consensus, promote collaboration and growth.
She is a proud first-generation college graduate and first-generation English speaker. In her free time, she enjoys Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles and camping with Canada being her favorite destination and then any place along the Maine/Canadian border. She has camped mostly all of East, South, North and has Middle and West sections of the United States left to do in “her free time”. She resides in Holland, MA with her son Zane, who is a freshman in college and her fur babies, Sonny and Max –both German Shepherds and Sophie, the feline boss of the group.

Karen is the Associate Director of the Contact Center at ASG. She is a 3rd generation Somervillian—born, raised and went to school in Somerville, Massachusetts—until she moved to New Hampshire 20 years ago. Karen comes to ASG with an extensive background in customer service with Partners Healthcare, Northeast Credit Union, and New Hampshire E-Z Pass. She loves to spend any free time she has with her family.
