Alec has more than a dozen years of experience advising governors, cabinet secretaries and CEOs on communications strategies.

A skillful writer and communicator, he is specialized in managing media stories and messages. He is experienced in developing cutting-edge digital, paid and earned media, targeting diverse audiences.

Alec recently served as a senior advisor to the Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services, managing a team of 10 communications professionals across the state’s largest secretariat, with 22,000 employees and a $19 billion budget.

Previously he worked in the press office of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and served as an on-the-record administration spokesman for high profile topics.

Boston’s State House News Service named Alec “Press Secretary of the Year” due to his crisis management skills and strong relationships with the media.

A former journalist, Alec is a contributing columnist for several publications including U.S. News and World Report. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
